You can find her other tweets from there.Īctivision also teased an announcement this week that shall happen on Wednesday according to news outlets and various sources. She also confirmed classic Spyro instead of the Skylander model: In addition to what Quebsenuef said, Laura Kate Dale, the original source of the leak, had an interesting conversation with a bunch of Spyro fans where she basically confirmed her first report and claims to have privately seen things that makes her 100% sure the remake is real.

The balloonists being too sad to take you to the next area was silly, but it set clear goals and reasons Riptos portal randomly opening at certain progress levels on the other hand.

Gnasty turned the dragons to crystal, go free them! The world wasn't fleshed out in any extensive way, but it fit together and had proper themes unlike the random slew of theme worlds in EtDF. (There's nothing wrong with a simple or out of focus plot, they just did it poorly. The animations were shoddy, every minigame was overly long and boring, the plot was non-existent in the worst possible way. Fixing load times and bugs would be nice, but it wouldn't come close to making it a good game. The levels were massive, but empty and uninspired. It's the closest game to the original Spyro's that came out after the third game. My gripe was mainly due to the bug ridden mess it consisted of and the unnecessary long winded loading times :( I agree actually, I didn't mind the game so much in parts. Quite jarring when he does it in a bonus round In the old games, he would only run different when chased. Like in the boulder levels, when not being chased, Crash will still act like he is. but these could have been altered so easily. There were nitpicks in 2 and 3 which make me think VV had to rush things. I had to switch from my thumb to my fingers to jump. Tried to get any Relic on Fumbling in the Dark and I have given up.

Had so many times they clearly landed but then slip afterwards - their ghosts clipping the ledges by miles! The fact I have to HOLD X to be able to make a jump - which in the originals I could simply tap X - makes it annoying.

I have started suffering from RSI and it literally hurts when I play any level full of jumping like Generator Room or High Road etc I do hate the new jumping in terms of pressure sensitivity. but I think they did a damn good job to say that they are not the original creators and are just fans really. Unlike Crash 3, which just went overboard with gimmick levels, they were literally half of the games levels. 3 struck a good balance, and the different playable characters added variety while still keeping the core gameplay style. Speaking of gameplay changes in the later games, I think 2 focused a bit too much on it's mini-games and tasks there were only a handful of orbs obtained by platforming and those were all in the homeworlds. Maybe also add sparx's gem finder ability. The boss fights were rather underwhelming compared to the later two games, and could also do to be updated.īut otherwise I'm not sure what else should really be changed about the first what elements could they add that wouldn't fundamentally change things too much? A more fleshed out plot wouldn't hurt cutscenes between each world would be a nice addition. They could be spiced up visually, of course, but I don't think the layouts were an issue. Spyro 1 could be a bit bare-bones, but the level design itself was overall pretty solid I think, especially the super-charge focused levels.
